Events and markets update

With the Tasmanian Micro Brew Festival already done and dusted we're looking forward to our next event - Seven Sheds Oktoberfest on Saturday 7 October! Our friends at Steamfest are bringing down the McLaren Steam Tractor for everyone to check out and we'll have Charlotte and Don from Vineyard Seafood Restaurant cooking up delicious wood-fired pizzas and their famous octopus, yum. Neil Gray will take up his regular position with his Eagles-free playlist and we're praying hard that there won't be a draw in the AFL footie final on the last Saturday in September.

October will be pretty busy with all of the following locked in:

Saturday 7 October Seven Sheds Oktoberfest midday to 4pm, free first beer for anyone arriving in lederhosen or dirndl.
Saturday 14 October Bloomin Tulips at Wynyard
Saturday 21 October Circular Head Garden Spectacular at Highfield (Stanley) AND Harvest Launceston Farmers Market AND Australian Masters Games Opening Event in Devonport

November is a tad more relaxed with the following confirmed:

Friday 3 November to Monday 6 November - Tasmanian Craft Fair, Deloraine
Saturday 4 November Harvest Launceston Farmers Market
Saturday 18 November Harvest Launceston Farmers Market

In December we'll be doing Harvest Launceston Farmers Market on Saturday 2nd and the 16th, then the seven-day Taste of Tasmania in Hobart, which starts on 28 December and runs through to 3 January.

We'll be focused on our cellar door during January, but let us know if you think we should do something special on Australia Day (Friday 26/1).

February 2018 kicks off with Launceston Festivale, which has brought its dates forward a week to run from 2nd to 4th February.
Harvest Launceston Farmers Market dates for February are Saturday 3rd and 17th.

We'll definitely be part of the tenth birthday celebrations for Taste of the North West on Saturday 7 April!

Other autumn 2018 dates will be confirmed once they're locked in.

Winter trading hours

Our bar will be open from 11am to 5pm, Friday to Sunday during June and July, then closed from Monday 31 July through to Thursday 31 August. We’ll process mail orders most weeks during winter but it’s best to notify us when you order if you are after stock for a particular date.

We’ve decided to cut back our bar hours a little so we can focus on maintenance tasks over a longer period rather than cramming it all into a couple of weeks during August. We’ll also be playing around with some new ideas that we hope to deliver to you during the warmer months.

So instead of 20 hours a week over five days during winter, the bar will be open 18 hours a week over three days. You can still purchase take-away cartons at other times (best to call us first on 0427 879 226 or 0418 948 906). We won’t be offering beer by the glass or tastings except when the bar is open from Friday to Sunday.

After the August closure, we’ll reopen on Friday 1 September and will resume our normal trading hours: 11am to 5pm Wednesday to Sunday.

2017 Hop harvest brews

The first of our 2017 hop harvest brews has arrived. Always popular and fast to sell out our Fuggled Porter was born out of a mistake in the brewery back in 2013. This year, 2017, we have finally given it a proper label which confirms its status as one of our ongoing annual brews. Over the next few weeks we'll be launching four more beers from our record 2017 hop harvest, including a collaboration brew with our Cascade hops that we're saving for Dark MOFO Winterfeast.
